You've got a plan. You've got a pattern. You've got the perfect pair of scissors. Now all you need is the fabric to make it happen.
To ensure your final product looks its best, be sure to use a medium-weight fabric like velvet, jersey or knit
When choosing fabric for this sweater, choose a medium weight, like velvet, jersey, or knit. These fabrics will give you just the right amount of flexibility
For example our product was made of velvet. Soft and luxurious, it feels amazing on your skin. And since it has some texture to it, it'll also look great with this design.
How much fabric do you need for your diy dress?
Using the table below, you can determine how much fabric to buy for each size, based on a fabric width of 140-150 cm. However, if you are using a different width or pattern (stripes, plaids, etc.), you might have to adjust the placement of the pieces so your garment will fit correctly.
Important!
To ensure that your finished garment fits properly, take a moment and check your fabric of choice's contraction. Steam-ironing the material at its highest recommended temperature is a great way to do so.
